With roots deep into the couches of an old Gainesville apartment, Half Track has grown into an energetic dub-funk-reggae band. With the core members consisting of two percussion majors from University of Florida, this band is right on time!! Formed in the Spring of 2008 from pipe dreams, these boys have already written enough material for two albums, formed a following crowd and live the high life on the daily to bring you that raw, non apologetic, dub-reggae sound. Our influences have been Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, Matisyahu, Rebelution, Jimi Hendrix, UB40, Johhny Denver, 311, G. Love + Special Sauce, Dave Matthews, Pepper, The Expendables, Passafire and of course Bob Marley. We're just doin' all of this until it happens the right way for us! We hope to open for great bands and have opportunities to show them that Half Track belongs on their record label!
