Free form radio with a core of industrial, rhythmic noise, power electronics, i.d.m., breakcore, dark ambient, audio collage, noise. Attention is paid to relevant, independent, local and uncompromising artists.

I (Deftly-D) may occasionally give creative input and argument but I grant guest djs and performers on my show creative freedom within the limits of law and station policies. Guests may have views that do not reflected my own. For those that are interested, my views change with experience and may not exactly reflect anyone else's, however the views expressed by Noam Chomski and Darryl Hell are more consistently within my agreement than not, and unlike most, their opinions are backed by an astounding wealth of cited research coupled with an openness towards new information. I highly recommend browsing the links I have put on their names.

Pre-History

From 1991 to 2001 Deftly-D programmed electronic and experimental shows on WJUL Lowell’s airwaves with the longest running and final show being the original High Voltage Circumcision Show. HVC was a free form show that was focused on industrial, experimental and electronic music especially breaking new and local artists and independent labels. HVC had guest interviews and live performances on what was called the High Volt Live Series, sometimes with all night live broadcasts.

About DJ Deftly-D

Besides DJing industrial and experimental music since 1991, Deftly has performed in industrial and noise projects since 1995 including Zero Times Infinity, Abuse By Consent, Orgy Of Noise, Terrorfakt, Nau-Zee-auN, Hawaiian Shirt Mafia, The Catastrophe Orchestra, c.i.r., Blast Floor Sessions, Operation:Mindwipe, Dominion, Data Bank A and Abstinence and has collaborated with and remixed numerous artists including Genesis P-Orridge, Merzbow, Pneumatic Detach, C2, and Zipperspy.

Deftly has produced live events and recordings under Voidstar Productions almost since the start of his DJ experience and has had numerous residencies and guest spots at industrial club nights including Dark Intentions, Ceremony, The Art Beat Festival, The Philly Fringe Festival, Phoenix Landing, The Enormous Room, Plague, Haven, Darq, Jaded and Resurrection.

In the early 90's Deftly-D created the first online database of industrial DJ's as a tool for independent artists and labels which was incorporated into some of the first applications at Industrial.org by Moron of Deterrent Industries. In 2008, Deftly-D worked with Jared Falcon to create the world's first 3D video sample based performance system for use in the multimedia band Nau-Zee-auN.
