About me:
Hello from High/Voltage, we are an AC/DC tribute band from Northern California. High/Voltage was formed in the Fall of 2005 after 2 friends Kevin (rhythm& lead guitar/backing vocals) and Ken (lead & rhythm guitar/backing vocals) decided to form a band. They contacted Tom (vocals) who could do a dead on impression of Bon Scott and started to practice AC/DC songs. They called s few bass players and could not get one that fit the band. Kevin then called an old friend that played guitar and asked if he would consider playing bass for this project. Robert (bass guitar/backing vocals) did not have much experience with the bass, but came over to try out anyway and started to pick it up as if it was his main instrument all along. Around the same time they were also looking for the last piece to the puzzle, a drummer that could keep a beat and show up to practice. As of yet they could not find either. Then one day Ken found an ad at a local music store for a drummer looking for a group. He called Byron (drums/backing vocals) and invited him out to audition. They all got together and played “Highway To Hell” as if they have played together for 6 months before that. And the rest is High Voltage history... We have been playing shows all over Northern California for the last 4 years now, and have been featured on numerous radio ads and in local papers. High/Voltage captures the energy and feel of AC/DC's music in a way that few other tribute bands do. Hope to see you on the Highway…**** Recently we had a few band members quit on us, but High/ Voltage is acquiring new members and will be back playing again before you know it.
