So this is where we sell ourselves. Where we tell you how great we are and how we came to be and why you should surf our stone groove. Or maybe not. Surely, to see how good we are you'd have to sit and have a listen. Or come and see us live. Thats how things get started isn't it?
We are Highwired and this is the music we make....
It has now become a rarity that a band can grip your attention with just 30 seconds of their opening song, but fortunately for me I had the pleasure of stumbling over such an act. “HIGHWIRED”.
After watching endless uninspiring bands play through the earlier half of the evening, the night was not far from a write-off. As if they had read my mind, HIGHWIRED exploded into their set immediately commanding the attention of the crowd and also silencing my thoughts of the night as a whole. Stepping far aside from modern demands of over complicating music in a feeble attempt to be noticed, this band rely only on their rhythmic density, chant fuelled lyrics and hard hitting guitars that affirm a template for a nuclear rock band. Harry Boultons lyrics heavily document real life experiences that are instantly relatable and entwined with the piercing counter melodic tones of endorsed guitarist Phil Cheetham, these are the perfect materials for a superb musical experience. To summarise HIGHWIRED in one sentence: A band that when they have a point to make, they make it and wrap it up in layers of musical elements that are sometimes lacking in most Manchester bands. “New Wavers” take note! This is what music is all about!

Hi, just to let you know, Sugar House Music is doing some great deals on recording this month. We can make your songs sound world class and it won't cost you the earth. If you are interested please get in touch to arrange a meeting with us, in the meantime please check out our latest recordings on the myspace page.
Hi guys just dropping you a msg to let you know what we do. Sugar House Music is primarily a production label working on band demos through to record label releases. We are also currently signing acts to production/management/artist referral deals to help further bands we feel of potential, by working on every aspect of the band, from songwriting, production, recording and passing the act onto our list of industry contacts.
As an offshoot of this, we also have a record label to release bands we like that we haven't produced a recording for.
Hey its Jess from the BenSem Street Team, I just thought I would send you a link to the song "Constant Dream" by BenSem. Its totally free, and you can share it with all your friends. Let me know how you are doing
howdy just a quick comment to let you know about a new website launched this week its aim is to help new bands reach out to more people and spread the gospel. An equivalent of 'word of mouth' for the computer age.
Go to website Create your profile and upload one of your tracks. You then let all your fans know that they can download your track for free from your Profile Page. But before each person can download your song they must tell at least three friends about your band using the email form on your page. This email is constructed by you to promote anything that you want. So for every time your track is downloaded your name will go out to at least three potential new fans. simple and hopefully effective.
Why Do It? The New Music Site can be an invaluable promotion tool for both signed and unsigned acts. Many artists (Radiohead, Coldplay) have promoted their live shows recently by giving away free material. Now that’s easy enough if you already have a huge fanbase - but for the newer acts getting your music heard is an absolute priority. Rather than giving away your material for free, with this site you get a free advert for your act sent to at least three people and you build up a database of your fans.
