Hilary Goldberg is a writer and filmmaker. Her record, "Giraffe Medicine" was produced by Gavin Ross at Steady Studios and has recently been followed up by "Giraffe Medicine Book", a printed expanded collection of spoken word and poetry released in 2008. As a nationally touring artist she combines poetry with storytelling and at times musical accompaniment. She's performed at festivals such as Bumbershoot Seattle, The Oregon Country Fair, at benefits, as well as a number of club venues. Hilary lives in Los Angeles and also makes movies.
Hilary Goldberg's feature films include the documentary feature "Render:Spanning Time With Ani DiFranco", the narrative short films, "SAFEROOM" and "Beyond Lovely" (Currently screening on MTV's Logo channel) starring Guinevere Turner and Vaginal Davis. Her latest short "in the Spotlight" a film noir metafiction tale about a literary hoax features memoirist/authors Michelle Tea, Clint Catalyst and writer/filmmaker Guinevere Turner is currently touring the festival circuit. She plans to release the short film along with composer Emily Wells in the near future. Most recently she has created a music video for the artist Katastrophe alongside collaborators Clint Catalyst and director of photography Alison Kelly (look forward to some special guest appearances.)
Also Coming Soon -- Power Up Films is also set to produce "The Land" a trilogy project that they describe as Gilligan's Island meets Lord of the Flies with 8 women at an empty resort. It's a dark comedy created by Hilary and the executive director of Power Up Stacy Codikow. More details soon.
