I love to write, especially poetry..although most of my poetry is about love. Yes...Love...frustrated love, forgotten love, the love that never was, but most of all my never ending hope in a future...with love...so here is one of those poems...

I met a sweet young cowboy from Natalia,
Medina County, Texas
The other day
Yes, the Natalia located
On Highway 132
And just adjacent to Interstate 37
He's tall and lanky
Your typical
Marlboro cowboy type
Black Stetson imitation hat
Dark glasses, broody like
Just twenty three on this past May
Too young to look and acts as if he’s lived
One hundred thousand days
He left his parents home at age 16
Been independent since
He talks of riding bulls
For six to seven years
Never professional it seems
Point:

My daughter thinks me strange
In talking, about our different tastes
Her actual words the other day

I said- Eccentric?
She said- No, not eccentric
Well…yeah…maybe
No, is more like a hippie
Yes, you are definitely a hippie
I find it funny only ‘cause she’s right
That well she knows me
What is the hippie creed?
“Make love not war”
I guess that’s me
They live in a surreal world
Of peace and love
I guess that’s also me
They respect life
Love creatures and creation
Unavoidably me
The live a quiet revolution
Against the established way of things
Afraid is also me
My naked feet have also walked
The flowered trails of spring
And I have also carefully entwined
A ring of posies for a friend
I still believe
That love will conquer all
And it’s my goal
To do my part to change the world
A little love, a little care

Ok I also have a weakness for asian actors...ohhh yeahhh...My favorite??? KEN WATANABE...I albsolutely fell for him in The Last Samurai...I loved him in The Last Samurai,and he confirmed why I find him so freaking sexy in Memoirs of a Geisha...Uhhh Yeahhh..

Family? Is very important to me. I feel blessed to have a great relationship, with all my kids and I am very proud of all of them, from the oldest to the youngest...
I love life with whatever it brings, pain, laughter, love, sadness, the very fact that you feel it is proof that you are ALIVE!
AND LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST...
I decry the war in the middle eastern countries and all it's implications. The massive loss of life, the economic burden to a nation that has a national debt that is so big, there is no possible way out. I believe that the motives and excuses given to people to justify it, are just that...excuses...the real reasons are very well known to those in charge and to some of us who care about such things
I do love the rank and file soldiers who for reasons only known to them are overseas fighting. I do not judge them...
I decry the war for all the pain it has caused and continues to cause, here in the U.S., in the many mothers,sisters, brothers,etc. who have lost someone who has served over there.
I decry the war for all the pain it has caused in Iraq. Iraqs mothers and daughters and brothers, are part of the great human family and are not impervious to pain.
I know that speaking up about how you feel about the war, can get you enemies and people who hate you for your views, but I rather be hated for what I believe than have no beliefs at all.
I rest in the knowledge that after all, that's what our soldiers are supposedly fighting for: OUR FREEDOM. That includes the freedom to disagree with one another and those in power...
