About me:
I write and illustrate novels for teens. BETTER THAN RUNNING AT NIGHT (Houghton Mifflin 2002) is about when falling for the wrong guy feels oh, so right. And I CAN'T TELL YOU (Houghton Mifflin 2004) is about trying to be "just friends" with someone you've got the hots for. I'm also a freelance radio producer and my stories air on a variety of shows, including This American Life, Studio 360, and Weekend America. I put together my first radio story with a micro-cassette answering machine and a shiny red boombox.
