Hillside Session is a side project developed by Black Gold's Eric Ronick. So consider this as more of a collaboration of various musicians from different bands coming together and enjoying what we all love to do- play music and share it with others.
Deep in the hills of Topanga Canyon California, at the home of Eric Ronick (of Black Gold) and Ryan Ross of (Panic at the Disco), a curious thing started. Jon Walker (also of Panic at the Disco) was sleeping in the studio/guest bedroom and woke to the sound of Eric playing the Tom Petty song, "Yer So Bad" on the acoustic guitar. Before they knew it, they were recording their own unique version of this great song. The next day, the two musicians agreed to start a side project called the Hillside Session who's mission is to record all those songs that you really love, but have always wanted a shot at re-doing. And when the spirit arises, why not record a brand new song?
So, let this be an invitation to all of our good musician friends... If you want a join in the fun, just let us know and we'll consider you the newest member of the band.
