About Hilltop Fool

Initially the solo project of guitarist/vocalist Carl Blakey in late 2007; Hilltop Fool became a three-piece in March 2008 with the inclusion of vocalist Leeanne May and multi-instrumentalist Peter Andrews.

After a month of frenetic songwriting, practices, bottles of wine and open-mic nights, the trio at last recorded four of their demos for your listening pleasure.

Although, playing mostly contemporary folk music, each member brings their own sensibilities to the band - which leads to tracks having a wide range of influences from progressive rock, indie, blues, jazz and traditional music.
