Eduardo Tavares aka Himan, nasceu a 23 de Maio de 1986. Desde cedo a música começou a fazer parte da sua vida. Quando era mais novo seus pais tinham um Gira-discos, era perto deste que ele brincava a maioria das vezes, ouvindo bandas épicas como Beatles ou Pink Floyd. Mais tarde influenciado por bandas Rock como Muse, Incubus, Deftones ou Pearl Jam, começou a dar os seus primeiros toques numa bateria. O rock continua ainda a fazer parte da sua vida, mas foi passado para segundo plano, quando conheceu o mundo da música electrónica. Influenciado pelo seu primo Jackspot e alguns amigos, que o têm ensinado até aos dias de hoje, começou a ouvir todo o tipo de música electrónica, onde predominava o electro. Numa fase posterior começou a entrar mais dentro da música underground, passando a ouvir estilos distintos que tanto podiam variar entre o techno maximal e o acid house. No ano 2007 apaixonou-se incondicionalmente pelo software Reason and Recycle. É com este tipo de software que as produções de Himan ganham vida. Hoje o seu estilo é incerto e imprevisível, conseguindo ouvir desde o techno ao house, do jazz ao experimental. As suas produções variam entre o techno groovie e beats mais pesados, passando ainda por um lado mais experimental. Himan está a começar a ganhar vida, o melhor ainda está para vir.

Himan aka Eduardo Tavares was born in May 23rd, 1986. Since early days the music has been part of his life. When he was younger his parents had a vinyl player and it was there, just next to it, where he played most of the time. Later influenced by rock bands such as Muse, Incubus, Deftones and Pearl Jam he started to give his first steps on the drums. Rock music continued to make part of his life but after few years later it was left for second plan when he met the world of electronic music. Influenced by his cousin Jackspot and some friends, that have been a great support since then, he begin to listen all kinds of electronic music, where the electro prevailed. In a subsequent phase, he started to get deeper in underground music, listening distinguishes styles that could vary between techno maximal to acid house. In 2007 he fell unconditionally in love with the software Reason and Recycle, which turned Himan’s productions in to life. Nowadays his style is uncertain and unpredictable, being able to listen from techno to house music, from jazz to experimental music. His productions range from the techno groovie and heavier beats. Himan is starting to gain life, and the best is yet to come.

I Am Because We Are: What a start, what a keen bassdrum. These house chords are a bit worn out at the moment, but nice though. In the end the track gets back to its really interesting sound, which i like. Empire Of The Sun: a prime example of deep techno for me - with a touch of the 90s. Could put someone in a state of trance. Meet Me Again: Honestly sounds too ordinary for me. A Story To Tell: This is sooo cute! Like strolling on a spring meadow. All in all the first and the last track are encouraging rays of hope for me, love em! Even though i will skip the mid tracks it's a refreshing and well produced release."
