| General | I like cerulean blue, lobster, Trans Ams, Godzilla, Spiderman, ninjas, Star Wars (the real stuff, not the recent garbage like Phantom Menace) and cougars (ie - mountain lions). My views are mine, I dislike most debates on religion, politics and sports. I find it rather boring when I could instead by playing with my kids or snuggling with my wife. I still do some roleplaying game design work on the side after having been involved in the industry. I enjoy a good game of pool, swimming, walking our dog, star gazing, sleeping in, horseback riding (don't do it anywhere near as much as I'd like to), nature walks, being a tourist when I can go someplace new, light reading, and the occasional pro wrestling match and video game (kid at heart all the way). | | Music | Opera and Country in very small doses only please. Other than that its my mood, I've played bluegrass, heavy metal, tokyo-pop, glam, top 40, easy listening and a host of other things on the radio. My wife collects the CD's, I listen and vaguely know the name of the band, I just know what individual songs I like (I grew up in the 80's where one-hit wonders were common, sue me ..). | | Movies | All 20+ Godzilla films, Spiderman, Star Wars IV, V and VI (not counting Ewoks), Lord of the Rings. Get it, I like Sci Fi and Fantasy the most, followed by a dozen bad Jackie Chan, Jet Li and other oddball martial arts movies. After that comes comedies and romantic comedies (good thing my wife likes this stuff too) and family movies (hey, I got kids, learned to like them early on). | | Television | Most of my favs are gone.. Smallville, Pro Wrestling, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, CSI (the Vegas one), a small dash of reality TV (it ain't real, we all know it). I barely have time to watch what I've even listed, so there just isn't much room for much else except splashes of news so I can keep up with current events. | | Heroes | Fictional: Peter Parker... not Spiderman but Peter Parker. Luke Skywalker (once he stopped whining).
Real Life: A splash of artists, writers, imaginative thinkers and humanitarians whose names will float in and out of my head for the rest of my life and never be in my head when I want to write them down (like now). Being that I don't do the politics/religion/sports circles that removes a lot of would-be heroes. And I tread my own path through life and don't try to model myself after the life someone else is living. |
