  • Bio

..hindrum is Dan, Cam and Nick, three distinguished gentlemen from Launceston who construct their music with three sets of vocal chords, a drum kit, a keyboard and a guitar. They have been described as grunge with a pop twist, or as Dan put it, "If you take Nirvana and The Beatles and put them in a blender, I think the result would sound something like us." For the past five years (amongst work, study and performing) they have been writing/perfecting their songs, the result; a self produced, engineered and mixed LP that goes by the name of: the unfortunate happening of rashmort toppins. The record gained media exposure during July 08, through articles in Sauce Magazine, ZINE and The Examiner's Xstatic. And is also in rotation on Tasmanian radio stations, Edge Radio and Sauce FM.

So, I was walking the streets the other day, when I see this tree. And upon eyeing off this tree, I realise, I'm not a tree. 'cause trees suck and Pinky is G(o)OD! Fucking boredom... S'cracking, ninja's? Heading back to the map of Tassie at the end of the month. So get your cocks out 'cause we'll be rocking out... Only your cocks can stay put. And we'll be drinking beer instead of rocking. 'cause I'm not a rockstar like you guys.

Good beer, good boobs, and good bye.

There..s probably a good chance your teacher or his familly came from this area then.
This area has been named a series of variations on the name Hindrum for at least 500 years ( thats only how far back we have sources...however the ending of the word "drum" might indicate that it goes as far back as the viking age here in Norway.)
Everyone who originates from here have that as their last name...including my boyfriend.
The name roughly means "Hin(d)" female dear "drum" dwellingplace or home...
It is a very small area, and there aren..t many people in the world with that name...witch is why I got currious when I saw you used it as a name for a band...
