I am a Chicago chicka who sings a lot, plays piano and guitar (the latter like rubbish) and writes songs. I sing in a bunch of bands in Chicago - rock, pop, funk and kinda jazzy-ish - and have my own band of knockout dudes (who call themselves "cats"). I've released two cd's on my label, Hipchick Records, and I am planning a third cd while also developing a one-person show, which may or may not ever see the light of a theatre. I've been playing music professionally for about ten years, but let's just count the last few, because those early bands in which I had to revive Celine Dion songs were kind of heinous. Obama! http://www.barackobama.com/
Thanks for the add!! I hope you like all of our music. Leave us a comment and let us know what you like best. We love to talk with our friends/fans. Drop us a line.
What' up Steph, 'Gonna try to make your show next week at "Bill's". Workin' a lot at the House of Blues these days. Hey...maybe that might be someplace you can hang out with your guitar? Let me know, Baby! ~Diggit~
I love your music!!!! I used to live in Chicago, born and raised on the north west side. That city feeds my musical creation. But now I'm a suburban guy. But I'm still making music, just not as often. I'm so going to check you out live! Rock on.
Dang...you know I was pretty sure I've been flunking the "Karma Test" for some time now. Then I come over here & I'm in your top friends! :-) Baby, when I re-shuffle my deck of friends next time, your card's gonna get drawn. LOL I hope you & the family are well.
takie your time...all is well. we're about to move into the media capitol/ family friendly suburb in the sf valley, and there's SO much to do (did i mention our things are still traveling from IL)?
if you're in the area on friday, sept. 28th, and looking for something to do, come come help celebrate my 12th 21st birthday @ BAR (check them out on myspace here), 279 south river street, plains pa 18705.
there's no cover, and if you haven't been there yet, it will be worth the trip just to check the place out. live acoustic performances begin at 10pm, with terry childers (his myspace page is here) starting things off, and i'll be playing all the way up to last call.
check out the tracks on my page, and let me know what you think...
the place has great atmosphere, really nice staff, and, obviously, is a huge supporter of local, original music. there's never a cover, and they've always got great events going on.
and since no birthday is complete without presents, i'll have some free cds to give away.
hit me up if you need directions or more information, and hopefully i'll see you there.
hey stephanie... it's good to hear from you. i miss the point as well, i don't think i'll ever get anything even remotely close to that feeling back again... i've got to tell you tho, the hook from the track you write that weekend sticks with me to this day, at random moments i'll find myself singing it... keep in touch
