I am a Chicago chicka who sings a lot, plays piano and guitar (the latter like rubbish) and writes songs. I sing in a bunch of bands in Chicago - rock, pop, funk and kinda jazzy-ish - and have my own band of knockout dudes (who call themselves "cats"). I've released two cd's on my label, Hipchick Records, and I am planning a third cd while also developing a one-person show, which may or may not ever see the light of a theatre. I've been playing music professionally for about ten years, but let's just count the last few, because those early bands in which I had to revive Celine Dion songs were kind of heinous. the place has great atmosphere, really nice staff, and, obviously, is a huge supporter of local, original music. there's never a cover, and they've always got great events going on.
