Hey, thanks for coming to my myspace! I am kind of a rock chick who is becoming more of a singer-songwriter. My new music is quirky and acoustic, written mostly on piano (and some guitar). I'm heavily influenced by artists with whom I draw no comparisons - Stevie Wonder, Aretha, Chaka, Joni Mitchell (ok, maybe she's in there!), Rickie Lee Jones (maybe her too), XTC and Kate Bush. I have been a professional singer for over ten years and I'd like to see my songs in films. I love to play live. I studied theatre at Northwestern. I've been in about 50 commercials, as well as some tv shows and movies. My band has won some contests and awards, and I have two cds available, with another in the works. I am inspired by great indie flickers, strikingly eye-catching gardens (and other beautiful things) and all of my incredibly talented friends.
Yeah, Right! I am, however, interested in hearing YOU sing. I can't wait to get your cd in the mail. See you again sometime soon I hope. Sincerely, Van
Thanks so much for the add Stephanie! We really hope you checked out and enjoyed our music. Hopefully when we head back home to the midwest we can team up for a gig sometime. THANKS AGAIN!!!
Glad to be your newest myspace friend. Hope you check out my blog to discover my myspace quest and check out samples of my lyrics and poetry. May God Bless you!!!
What' up Steph, 'Gonna try to make your show next week at "Bill's". Workin' a lot at the House of Blues these days. Hey...maybe that might be someplace you can hang out with your guitar? Let me know, Baby! ~Diggit~
I love your music!!!! I used to live in Chicago, born and raised on the north west side. That city feeds my musical creation. But now I'm a suburban guy. But I'm still making music, just not as often. I'm so going to check you out live! Rock on.
