Really Cool Place!Rating: I had a great time during my haircut appointment @ Hip Hair! Even though I arrived a few minutes late, Kellie B., a dread-headed beauty from New York welcomed me and made me feel super comfortable. I showed her a couple pictures of what I wanted in a haircut and she asked me a few questions to make sure we were on the same page. We chatted about interesting topics and found we had alot in common. The salon was super funky and they played really random music; everything from The Clash to Red Hot Chili Peppers. Kellie gave me some really good pointers on how to keep my haircolor and some organic products to check out. The end result on my hair was perfect! She even styled it for me to show me what I could do with it. At the end, all the girls working in the salon were sitting around us smiling and checking out my new 'do and talking with us. Everyone thought it was super cute and complimented Kellie on a great job! They even said I should go to hair school to get my liscense because "I looked like I should be doing hair." What a compliment!
During the summer they offer cold Pabst Blue Ribbons to anyone who has to wait for a cut. There were two other men getting haircuts in there during my visit and I must say, they both walked away with great quality cuts! (I would know, my husband is a barber.)
Hip Hair charges just $39 for a haircut, (mine was pretty complex) and after a $10 tip to Kellie I felt like I definatley got my money's worth. I'll definatley be visiting that salon again!!
