Welcome to Hip Hop 101 TV, Seattle's one-and-only all elements of Hip Hop culture television program. Serving the greater metropolitan area of Seattle and parts of South Snohomish County, Hip Hop 101 TV is a platform for independant and emerging Hip Hop artists, both locally and nationally.
Established in 1999 by Dirty Dev and the MAD Krew, Hip Hop 101 has played a significant role in exposing some of the best talent within the region, showcasing emcees, deejays, b-boys/b-girls, dancers and more. In 2005, Hip Hop 101 TV partnered with Coolout Network, Seattle's foundational Hip Hop television show than began in 1991. In 2007, Hip Hop 101 combined forces with 206 Zulu - Universal Zulu Nation.
Nearly a decade later, Hip Hop 101 continues to this day to bring quality programming thats not just entertaining, but informative, educational, and enriching to the community at large.
The show is broadcast live every Friday from 9-10pm PST on SCAN, which is channel 77 on Comcast Cable and channel 29 on Millennium Digital Media and reaches over 400,000 subscriber homes.
Hip Hop 101 TV is also streamed live on the Internet at www.scantv.org
Listen to all the songs online including "Cataclysmic OneMillion" featuring a rare skit by the late, great BHIVE.
You all have been supporting our homemade music for three albums now and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Mario produced all the tracks with Raven and Joey stepping in here and there. The cover art also features work by BHIVE (thanks Vince and Annette) -- clearly his impact on his friends is as powerful as ever.
Love and thanks go to our collaborators: Uzi, Muriel Montgomery, Davie-Blue and Raven.
