Hip Hop Database was built upon the idea that hip hop isn't dead! It's just being run by the wrong people. The HHDB staff is comprised of artists who live everyday of their lives nose deep in music and art. We believe that hip hop is more than just the one-dimensional form of music you see in the media but instead it's a diverse artform that mixes many time periods, genres, mediums, and cultures.
We reflect that in our daily updated blog that's stuffed with music news, dope videos (old & new), and insider commentary. There's also a collection of free mixtapes you can download. Our message board community has more than 50,000 registered members from all over the globe.
