Stomp, clap, click, clap and tap! A unique fusion of body percussion, hip hop and flamenco, Hip Hop Duende chart a unique journey into the duende, (or magic) of rhythm and movement.
Two dynamic percussionistas play fiery cajon, rhyme ‘n’ rap and stomp up a storm! By layering rhythms, moves and spoken word, Claudia and Annalise create a fresh funk full of wooden tones, fast thigh slaps and fine flamenco boots. Driven by passion for beats and dance, their interactive shows, workshops, team building and ice breakers navigate the human magic of rhythm and movement.
Hip Hop Duende have performed at Viva la Gong and Feastability festivals, and for schools such as Canberra Grammar, Northmead High, MLC School Sydney and Putland ETU. Between them Annalise and Claudia have been sharing their passions through teaching and performing for thirty years and have performed with Greg Sheehan, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Luka Bloom and many more.
A unique duo of Australian female rhythmatists, Hip Hop Duende express and inspire!
