Frustrated with the lack of a regular and genuine hiphop sound, DJ RISCO, SUGA-DUGI (both of CONSTANT CREATION) and WAQ (SAMA BEATS SOUNDSYSTEM) created FUNDAMENTALZ in 2005.
Daily grind ensures FUNDAMENTALZ successfully bridges the gap between the offerings of commercial RnB/Garage/Hiphop nights and the likes of Public Enemy and DeLaSoul appearing in Sheffield.
A key priority of FUNDAMENTALZ is to ensure the development and evolution of the local UK hiphop scene. As such we provide opportunities for performers to learn their trade and perfect their artform. With prepared tracks anyone is welcome to entertain our crowd.
Rappers can also get involved in the friendly cypher (no battling, we're family!), and showcase their skills over the loveliest of beats.
Our resident turnablists drop the likes of Foreign Beggars, Klashnekoff, Mystro, Task Force, Hoodz Underground and Asaviour. Head snapping niceness!
With a firm foundation of supporters, FUNDAMENTALZ is an excellent place for networking and to link with like-minded folk.
