About me:
The first stop to promote Homage Tour
The Hip-Hop Pioneers’ Medical Health and Dental Care program began formulating after an interview with a hip-hop pioneer named Rodney Stone. Who is professionally known as Rodney C!, one-half of The Original Double Trouble, featured in the first Hip-Hop, Break-dance & Graffiti movie ever created entitled “Wildstyle”.
He is also formerly of the Funky Four Plus One More and the Funky 4+1.
It wasn’t until after an interview, while taking pictures. It was noticed Mr. Stone only grinned and never smiled. He [Mr. Stone]then was asked, “Why don’t you smile?” He replied that he lost his partials and he had no insurance to cover replacements or the dental work that he preferred. That, instead of fixing his teeth, they would only pay to have them pulled. Now, because the work that was needed to save his teeth under his insurance policy [he then had] was considered to be cosmetic, Mr. Stone had to take what his insurance would cover (at that time) to relieve him from the crucial pain he was enduring.
During the time when he [Mr. Stone] had insurance, Rodney had over 10 teeth pulled including his Incisors 8 and 9 (the two top front teeth). At this time, Mr. Stone has no medical insurance at all.
Yes, he is one of over 70% of minority America with little or no medical insurance, and over 85% of those who are officially in the hip-hop culture with no insurance.
“The Hip-Hop Pioneers’ Medical Health and Dental Care Program” is intended to fulfill the needs that insurance company’s claim, can’t and/or refuse to pay. Fortunately, we are here to help. Now, [Rodney] is hopeful, and feels that the love he put into Hip-hop is now returning.
Praise, Peace & Pride, Inc., will continue to work to help make a difference in the lives of Hip-Hop Pioneers like Mr. Stone. Each and every person affected by this [lack of dental and medial health care] has reason to hope because great advances are being made in [creating a way for medical and dental issues to be addressed for Hip-Hop.
THE HIP-HOP PIONEERS MEDICAL HEALTH AND DENTAL CARE PROGRAM
Are you aware that over 43 million Americans have little or no Medical Health or Dental Care Insurance?
Our forefathers who are the pioneers of our culture are falling in to this statistic and are coming to an age where they need you. This program is currently designed to be an Assistance Funding Program, for those who qualify as hip-hop pioneers. (This is not an insurance policy coverage plan).
“Praise, Peace & Pride, Inc.,” (a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization) is planning a host of Pioneer Tribute Showcases to raise awareness and funds for our Pioneers Care Program. The Hip-Hop Pioneers Medical Health and Dental Care Program is intended to fulfill the needs that insurance company's cannot or refuse to cover.
Funds for campaign honorees are being raised through the “Hip-Hop Pioneers Homage Tour”, tribute fundraisers and your donations. These fundraisers will consist of a full viewing of the first hip-hop motion picture to hit the big screen “Wild Style’”, a discussion panel, and live tribute performances by pioneers and popular unsigned artist paying homage to those who started this whole culture called hip-hop.
HOMAGE TOUR DONATION PACKAGES: (All packages are tax-deductible in accordance to state and federal law)
All donation packages include:
1. A full viewing of the fist hip-hop motion picture film “Wild Style”.
2. meet and greet with Campaign Honoree-Pioneer.
3. Tribute Showcase-from some of today’s most popular unsigned artists.
4. Transportation for up to ten (10) people, to and from city, and/or town of event.
5. Overnight accommodations (if needed).
6. All Meals for up to ten (10)
