Hip Hop with Steve

About me:

My name is Steve, and I'm a student of Hip Hop. I've been heavily influenced by the culture for just about my whole life. Born in Oceanside, CA, and raised in the Northern area of Virginia. East coast Hip Hop has really shaped me into the person I am today. My earliest influences include Biggie, Mase, The Lox, and the man who discovered them Sean "Puffy" Combs. I remember being as young as 8 years old calling Bad Boy records, disguising my voice attempting to talk to Puff just to let him know how much of an important figure he was in my life. My dream was to one day work at a record label and in 2009 I got the chance to intern in the A&R department at Sony Music Entertainment/Jive Records. It showed me that I have a place in this industry and I will continue to pave my way to become a leader in Hip Hop. I look forward to curating for MySpace, and keeping the culture alive. I hope to one day be as influential to the game as my heroes Russell Simmons, Sean "Puffy" Combs, and Sean "Jay-Z" Carter.
