Musical Styles: I am not bound by narrow minded concepts of music, I see a universe that stretches beyond my own imagination. I appreciate all forms of music except country, top forty, and bullshit bubble gum pop, I especially appreciate music based in and around Electronics, heavy percussive beats, and middle eastern and world influences. Primary musical passion from childhood to now: Rock, Rockabilly, Punk, Ska, Raggae, Jazz, Traditional Middle Eastern Music, New Wave, Progressive House, Industrial, Techno, Trance, Drum and Bass, DubStep and beyond. I've never been an emotional fan of pop music in any form but I do not deny good music when I hear it. As I got older I expanded my taste not to forget the past but embrace and build from past experiences. This is one reason my music is so diverse. I have so much passion for music that I don't tie my hands behind my back I let my mind fly and I create music... sometimes it's soft and will bring old ladies to tears - sometimes it's fresh and hip impressing the "coolest" club kids and sometimes it's hard core in your face expressing deep seeded feelings of concern for the world around us and our human race. It doesn't rain everyday so why should my music stay the same.
Sounds Like
Hipnautica is a musical chameleon, seamlessly transmigrating genres and styles from our sorted past. We blend gothic undertones with industrial beats with trance riffs, we blend psychelic and world influences to create a sound which is distinctly hypnotic. It's been our intention to the highest quality sound within the underground but time and budget are often working against us. We constantly strive to infuse new concepts and ideally hope to be recognized or creating a unique tone. At times we are harsh and in your face with pounding beats and at times we passively meander through psychedelic soundscapes.
OUR OFFICIAL ONLINE CYANIGHT TOUR FLIER COVERING ALL CITIES:
AN OFFICIAL FLIER FROM NEW ORLEANS PAIN TRIBE:
OUR CYANIGHT TOUR begins in NEW ORLEANS on Wednesday August 12th thanks to the support of the HI HO LOUNGE, who've supported many up and coming bands as well as many established underground bands like our friend Bradley from CHANT. We will meet up and present VOODOO VELKRO (Atlanta) & DJ John Gomi (atx). Thanks to the support of PAIN TRIBE who will be performing with us we are proud to launch this momentous tour and release our first major CD, inspired by bands such as Front 242, KMFDM, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult - you know the old school industrial stuff that helped inspire EBM, Techno, and Trance for that matter. This new cd will dedicated to our past while looking towards the future. There will be a couple absolutely never recorded tracks as well - stuff not available on myspace.
New Orleans, has a bitter sweet spot for our crew because Tinkr and Sky both have family there and they lost alot during Katrina, Blue (drums) & Guymon Adams (guitars) were both ousted by the Bitch Katrina and met through Hipnautica 3 years later. While Hipnautica is not remotely considered a local to New Orleans group, this will still be a coming home for us on a few different levels. So we thank the PAIN TRIBE for welcoming us and performing with us at the Hi Ho Lounge on Wednesday night August 12th.
On August 13th we leave New Orleans to perform in Houston's premier underground dance club HAVOK at the Blue Door with Die Brücke thanks to the gracious support of DJ Naika.
OUR OFFICIAL FLIER FOR OUR AUSTIN CD RELEASE PARTY:
On August 14th we hit Austin and perform at our home ELYSIUM with VOODOO VELKRO, and long time friends SLEEP NOW YES plus since this is our home we have a bunch of DJ's that want to come out and throw down with us so we welcome Prophet, Void, and SubSpace Freakquency. Not to mention two very hot special guest Go Go Dancers: INFINITI & ACID QUEEN. Also we will extend $1 off with an ASSIMILATION wrist band.
On august 15th it's down south to San Antonio to hit our favorite underground club in San Antonio Club ATOMIX. We are not sure of the exact details yet but we know we will be performing with VOODOO VELKRO and SLEEP NOW YES.
We hope you will come out and join us for as many of these special events as possible, each will be different and unique to each city but all will be parties to remember.
"Check out our first official music video, released in March of 2009 during SXSWi at the Palmer Event Center and Elysium. Destination is Unknown is one of my oldest songs but revamped multiple times through the years. It speaks of a concern of over population, overcrowding, and excessive consumption which leads to the eventual destruction of our humanity. I had forgotten about this song until a visit to China where the evidence is significantly higher due to the level of distance between the impoverished and the upper class, and the amount of trash and poor air quality. As bad as many think they have it here in the United States I have witness true destitution and starving poverty. I've traveled the world, I have friends in multiple countries and I recognize more than ever the impact we are all having across this planet. I've always felt we were all in this together but through the years I've learned to recognize this more than ever. I wrote these lyrics in the early 90's but they seem to ring more true today. Begin to repurpose, recycle, and reuse - save our environment and live a better life today ~sky"

Thanks so much for your nice comment. We feel exactly the same. Pay-to-play is a practice that exploits new/young musicians and will ruin the local scene for everybody. It's unbelievable how many of these scam companies now operate. Spreading the word is the best defense against it. ...and by the way, you guys sound awesome! Loved the video too! Keep rockin'!
Hi,Sky!!! Companion, sometimes people find that by their nature leave us amazed, and we have to ... or learn to live with the experiences offered by them. The important as you know, is that this school that life also teaches us! In relation to your music, liked to hear but can not open the player ... I gotta fix my page, because they probably have problems. Let's keep in touch, and everything good for you! A big hug! Pedro
