This is one of my favorite new bands. They're called Silver Dirt. If you want to learn more about them, just click on their banner. They freakin' rock! (You can also go to my other web site, www.electricpussycat.com and read about them there, plus read an interview I did with their lead vocalist, Silver Steff.)
This is rock and roll! I absolutely love this band. This is The Quireboys performing their song, "Misled". It's been many years since I've seen them live. I wish they'd return to the states, or that I could hop across the pond and see them again.
Another of my favorite bands, The Four Horsemen. Like The Quireboys, this band was very underrated. Sadly they are no longer making music. Their original drummer, Dimwit, passed away on Sept. 27, 1994 of a drug overdose. The band went on, however, with Dimwit's brother on drums. Then front man Frank Starr was hit by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle down the Sunset Strip in November 1995. He was thrown head-on into a road sign and suffered serious head injuries. He never recover from his coma and passed away more than three years later in a hospice on June 18, 1999. With his passing, the band called it quits. However, they've recently released a DVD anthology and live CD boxset called "Left For Dead". For more info check out www.thefourhorsemen.com. I'm honored that I had the opportunity to see them live.
Last, but not least, I had to include another of my favorites, The Cult. It was hard to pick which video to show. Ian Astbury is the most mesmerizing front man since Jim Morrison. It's fitting that The Doors chose him to front their band when they reunited. I saw The Cult live after their release of "Sonic Temple". I had the flu and was running a fever, but I was not going to miss that show, and I'm glad I went. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to.
New bands I like include Silver Dirt, Alley Sin, Sister Hyde, Innocent Rosie, Big Cock, The Casanovas, Airbourne, and Silvertide. But, I also listen to bands that have been around longer, like The Four Horsemen, The Quireboys, Bang Tango, The Cult, etc. I like so many bands that really it would take forever to list! I talk more about this in the About Me area. Maybe when I have nothing better to do I'll come back and list them all! lol

I like musicals such as "Grease" and "Moulin Rouge". And, I love a few dramas such as "Forrest Gump", "American Graffiti" and "Titanic". I love most any sci-fi, like the "Star Trek" and "Star Wars" films, as well "Independence Day", "Logan's Run", and too many others to name. I love all of M. Night Shyamalan's films, and also films by David Lynch and Quentin Tarantino. There are many, many others, too many to list here.

I'm a single mom, a webzine owner/editor-in-chief, and an artist. I work in various media, but primarily acrylics and hemp art. I recently started my own web sites: to showcase my hemp artwork, and Make your own banner at MyBannerMaker.com!
because I love glam and sleaze rock 'n' roll and since it's making a comeback, with a lot of talented new bands performing that style and the older bands reuniting, I thought I'd do my part to bring attention to this growing genre of music. The first web site is named Hippiepad because I often wear patchouli and my friend's ex-boyfriend always used to say I smelled like a hippie pad. But I also named it that because all of us who have lived during and after the hippie era, especially us rockers, can't help but to have been influenced by those crazy times, and my products appeal to that little bit of hippie in all of us. This MySpace page is an extension of the Hippiepad web site, in addition to being my personal page. (To go to my other MySpace page and learn more about my webzine, Electric Pussycat, just click on the above banner) Here are just a few examples of what you'll find at Hippiepad.com:
In my spare time, what little I have, I like to paint (acrylics), do Sudoku, crosswords, or cryptograms. I also love to read. And, one of my favorite pasttimes is to go to www.interactrivia.com and play live trivia games against people all over the world. The games are like the ones you can play in a lot of bars, but with the added fun of chatting with the people you're playing against. If you like trivia, you should check it out. My user name there is TawnyAZ, so if you go there say hi.
I love a wide variety of rock music, from Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, AC/DC, and Led Zeppelin, to Guns 'N' Roses, LA Guns, Poison, Faster Pussycat, Cinderella, The Black Crowes, Skid Row, The Lynch Mob, and Bang Tango, to The Cult, The Four Horsemen, The Quireboys, White Zombie & Rob Zombie, Rage Against The Machine, and Alice In Chains, to Silvertide, Airbourne, The Casanovas, Silver Dirt, Big Cock, Sister Hyde, Innocent Rosie, plus many, many more spanning from the 60's to today (really, too many to list here).
R.I.P. MIKE. YOU'LL BE MISSED.

The gingham dog and the calico cat Side by side on the table sat; 'T was half-past twelve, and (what do you think!) Nor one nor t' other had slept a wink! The old Dutch clock and the Chinese plate Appeared to know as sure as fate There was going to be a terrible spat. (I was n't there; I simply state What was told to me by the Chinese plate!)
The gingham dog went "Bow-wow-wow!" And the calico cat replied "Mee-ow!" The air was littered, an hour or so, With bits of gingham and calico, While the old Dutch clock in the chimney-place Up with its hands before its face, For it always dreaded a family row! (Now mind: I 'm only telling you What the old Dutch clock declares is true!)
The Chinese plate looked very blue, And wailed, "Oh, dear! what shall we do!" But the gingham dog and the calico cat Wallowed this way and tumbled that, Employing every tooth and claw In the awfullest way you ever saw--- And, oh! how the gingham and calico flew! (Don't fancy I exaggerate--- I got my news from the Chinese plate!)
Next morning, where the two had sat They found no trace of dog or cat; And some folks think unto this day That burglars stole that pair away! But the truth about the cat and pup Is this: they ate each other up! Now what do you really think of that! (The old Dutch clock it told me so, And that is how I came to know.) ..
Tango is a practice already ready for struggle. It knows about taking sides, positions, risks. It has the experience of domination/resistance from within. Tango, stretching the colonized stereotypes of the latino-macho-Catholic fatalism, is a language of decolonization. So, pick and choose. Improvise. Hide away. Run after them. Stay still. Move at an astonishing speed. Shut up. Scream a rumor. Turn around. Go back without returning. Upside down. Let your feet do the thinking. Be comfortable in your restlessness. Tango.
Come to my window Crawl inside, wait by the light Of the moon Come to my window Ill be home soon
I would dial the numbers Just to listen to your breath I would stand inside my hell And hold the hand of death You dont know how far Id go To ease this precious ache You dont know how much Id give Or how much I can take
Just to reach you Just to reach you Just to reach you
Come to my window Crawl inside, wait by the light Of the moon Come to my window Ill be home soon
Keeping my eyes open I cannot afford to sleep Giving away promises I know that I cant keep Nothing fills the blackness That has seeped into my chest I need you in my blood I am forsaking all the rest Just to reach you Just to reach you Oh to reach you
Come to my window Crawl inside, wait by the light Of the moon Come to my window Ill be home soon
I dont care what they think I dont care what they say What do they know about this Love anyway
I sat in my room looking back laughing and crying at those old photographs from the times and days we spent together How I'll be your little girl forever.
Those time you bounce me on your knee Or when I'd ask for you to read this story to me? Teaching me and helping me To become the person i should be.
You make me smile and you make me laugh You've been there for me through now and the past. You have helped me with homework And you told me to cut it out when i was being a jerk.
And our daily fights And a kiss good night Our giant hugs Showing each other our love
I would be so lost without you I'd be confuse and not know what to do I wouldn't have learn the things that i have But, since i have you that makes me so glad
Daddy, i love you and I'll be your little boy forever Don't think I'll stop because i wont ever!! For your my daddy And I'm your little boy . ..
