Space shuttle Atlantis' 11-day flight is targeted for launch May 12, 2009. It will include 5 spacewalks to refurbish & upgrade the telescope with state-of-the-art science instruments. Hubble's capabilities will be expanded & its operational lifespan extended through at least 2014.
