Hipshaker started in 1998 and has hosted nights in Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Southampton, Bognor, Ryde and London. We currently run events in Portsmouth and Ryde in the UK and have an upcoming date in Bournemouth in December 07 @ the Wave 105 "Colossal Christmas Cracker of a Party". We also run a weekend of events at the annual Isle Of Wight Scooter Rally ..... the biggest scooter rally in the world. We hosted The Hipshaker Lounge at the 2006 AND 2007 Isle Of Wight Festival (see video clips above) ..... and hope to be back there in 2008! At any Hipshaker event you can expect to hear funk, soul, jazz, rock, r&b, motown, latin, ska, reggae etc etc ...... all from the 60s and all on chunky vinyl! We have released a compilation album on Goldmine/Soul Supply and are looking to release a follow up.
