NEW FORMAT - On the FIRST WEDNESDAY of each month we will be runing a Performance Open -Mic night. We will provide a PA system, and mics and welcome singer-songwriters who wish to perform.
VENUE - from 7.30pm - 1Ipm in the Bar at Burton Street Foundation, Hillsborough Sheffield.
Entry is FREE and its great change to hear new music as well as perform and network with other songwriters in the area.
On the other Wednesdays in the month, we are going to hold 'Network-Evenings' . These are opportunities tor Sheffield musicians to meet up and try out new material , get comments from fellow songwriters, make new contacts and who knows even start new musical partnerships. These evenings will be from 7.30pm - 10pm .
We are thinking about changing this from Wednesday to say MoNday as we appear to be clashing with several things on a Wednesday. I am taking soundings about this idea. Can you let us know what you think. If you know there are other events on in Sheffield that we would clash with on a Monday can you also let us know. I suppose the really question is would you be more likely to come along on a Monday than a Wednesday. Additioannly, is EVERY week a bit much. What if we changed it to once a month? Say first Monday?
