My name's Mike Hirst... I'm a 21-year-old singer/songwriter from Downingtown, PA. I write, record, and produce all my own music... every single song... I actually do all the instrumentation on each track as well...
I started this whole thing back when I was 12 and decided to do it full-time when I graduated high school in 2005... So far, I have written over 600 songs... most of which have never been released...
In 2007, I toured the country for most of the year, playing nearly 100 concerts in most of the eastern-half of the USA... It was a blast, and there are so many things I will never forget from it... I love playing concerts, so hopefully you'll see me near your town at some point in the future...
My songs are all written by me and come straight from my heart... Whether its God-inspired or love-inspired or life-inspired... its something I'm going through, and its something I'm dealing with, and its something I'm learning...
My only hope is that you might hear the songs and find comfort or strength in them, knowing that you're not alone... Or maybe they'll just make you smile or laugh... Either way, I just want to brighten your day... :-)

Bus Station Harvest's Blurbs About me: For those of you that don't already know every Wednesday the three of us go to the GET bus station downtown. In a nutshell: We pray for peoples needs. We basically walk up to whoever we feel God puts in our path and ask them if they need prayer. Sometimes we pray for them and other times our conversations will last for just a few minutes. We do come across those that reject us and so no pressure is given. But for the most part God places very interesting stories in our path and it is an honor to be used by Him week by week. One interesting point: almost everybody we talk to asks us the same thing; "What organization do you guys belong to?" They are usually surprised when we tell them: “We don't belong to an organization, we simply believe that God has a plan for your life, and that plan includes safety, an unbelievable hope for the future, and a purpose.” They are even more shocked to hear that we all go to different churches. It is a very humbling experience when we get a "Thank-you” from time to time. Our purpose for going is to simply share God's love with His people. So if you are interested in going please send us a message and we will get you the information. It's an exciting way to spend your Wednesday evening! Who I'd like to meet: I don't know who we would like to meet but every week we will be posting a blog prayer list of the people that we meet at the local bus station here in Bakersfield. If you are unable to join us on Wednesday nights we encourage you to pray for the names on the list. They greatly need our prayers and encouragement. If you have any prayer requests of your own just write us a message and we would be blessed to pray for you.
