his boy elroy is the alter-ego of tim holt. he honed his talent writing themes for tv/film, which has filtered into remixes, wholly original tracks and programming. he has done work for charlie peacock, fort minor, rebecca st. james, krystal meyers, blake jarrell, cpm, afk & dustin h, boom jinx, lisa debendictis, lt from trifonic, elese and more.
Check out Reactive Psychology! The first fruit of my collaboration with LT of Trifonic is this 3-track EP. It combines some of my darker musical moments with LT's great lyrics and rapping. People seem to dig it and you will too. It just dropped on iTunes, eMusic, Napster, Rhapsody and more, so please go check it out!
thanks for your amazingly sick remix of "receive the light". your remixes are never a dissapointment. how's life? haven't talked to you in a while. hope things are going well.
Summer's coming up. It has to be my favorite time of the year. When I think about summer, I think about kicking back on a beach somewhere with a cool drink in my hand watching the sun set as a gentle breeze blows in. I also think about being in a car with my friends, driving through the city on our way to a great night out. What does summer make you think about?
Each year, I go through my music collection to find the tracks that take me to that special place when I hear them. Please consider this mix my gift to you. I hope this mix becomes your soundtrack for a summer night as well. Please download this mix and give it a listen as you pack away those winter sweaters and pull out the shorts and sandals.
Thanks U for making the song "Cuckoo" I can't get it out of my head since I use it for my wake up call. The beats are like caramel melody to the ear. God Bless!!! :)
Here's a start on the seven-string materials:
1. _The Russian Collection_, ed. Matanya Ophee -- a seven-volume series of Russian works. Mostly seven-string pieces arranged for six-string, plus some original six-string Russian (and Soviet) pieces. The editor/publisher is also a noted musicologist, and the introductions to each volume form a fairly comprehensive cornerstone on the topic. Published by Editions Orphee; available from www.orphee.com, or at any decent university library.
2. _The Golden Age of the Russian Seven-String Guitar_ by Oleg Timofeyev. Dissertation available from UMI. Much focus is on performance practice, but it's currently the only full-length monograph on the subject in English.
3. guitarandluteissues.com -- by Matanya Ophee. A good amount of seven-string material can be found here by browsing.
4. http://orphee.com/links.htm -- lots of miscellany, but this page can be helpful, too.
ALSO! If you're free at the end of May, come to Iowa. Firsthand experience is always the best: http://www.guitarfoundation.org/drupal/?q=node/2556
Hope this helps. Please tell the dogs that I miss them very much.
