HIS MISCHIEF is a rock band from the Twin Cities. We love playing shows for you. If we haven't played your town, get ahold of us and we'll do our best to get there as soon as possible. Our favorite color is turquoise and we enjoy short walks from bar to bar. Sheridan is NOT a girls' name. Jeff and Jeff are NOT related even though they have the same name.
We missed your show at the Turf because we are losers who lingered too long in the studio finishing a really sweet boar mount. But we always hear good things. Next time! Thanks for your friendship. We appreciate you! Truly yours, Stuffed Pheasant
You guys are going on tour to where I just came back from (LA and San Diego). If I had known that, I would have left a trail of breadcrumbs for you on my way back.
You should go to Rancho's in the North Park neighborhood of SD for good margaritas and Mexicano food. Have fun on tour, and don't kill each other. At least not until the end.
I'm pretty sure what I meant to say was, "I really like that song." I kinda wish I had a zipper for my mouth when I get drunk. Anyways, have fun on tour!
Another French Review....suspiciously similar to the first but with a surprise ending!
Starting on the hubcaps of hyperopia it just so happens it's about Rock and Roll here with nothing else. Your knees are literally itching with your hips and everything else. Ideal to set the dancefloor on fire without bothering with questions. It seems like an old piece of Kinks or the Who....something of that era remixed in a modern way while keeping a retro aftertaste. The rock performed by the Minnesota trio is Garage, their favorite color is turquoise and they enjoy long walks between bars. They also like to play for their chums and we get it. Some old Model Down, Monarchs and Sean Na Na members are playing with their instinct for their first 6 titles. It's rock that earns it's value from the sixties and Rocket from the Crypt without the horns. It's fresh, young, and catchy while staying primary and modest. Not for stupid hipsters, if you're a fan of tuning and love spending time in your garage with dirty hands you'll love to rock to this. If you're more of a pussy it's also ideal. Now it's time for me to put away the CD and get on a good Neurosis.
Congrats on being the common ground for Grease Monkeys and Pussys!
sheridan! i am so sorry that i didn't get to hear you play on sunday night! i really wanted to be there. meredith said that you guys were great. next time you're here, i will be there, no ifs, ands, or buts!
Your French Review: His Mischief, Summers Eve EP From the guys already seen in Model Down from that damn good label Modern Radio in Minneapolis comes 6 titles that don't let go of the reins. They have enough energy to light up a stadium. It's their 1st EP with great results, a very welcome breath of fresh air.The EP breathes past teenage issues and pre adult questioning and has a second layer which is appreciated but I am unable to describe. These little guys sure have humor, the packaging alone gives you a taste. His Mischief presents principle elements of the music more precisely, the energy and fuzz of 60's garage rock with a rhythm straight out of post punk, put back into todays taste with 90's hardcore. The result is efficient and sails between retro stuff like The Who and Q and Not U, between the two you put whatever you want. Without pretention His Mischief balances their simple songs and before realizing it I am shaking by butt.
