Bio
Playing with rock and metal icons, getting on board with Indie Record Label Catch 22 Records, Worldwide distribution of their new Self Titled full length release are all huge accomplishments regarding His Name Was Yesterday in the past year. Some artists would find such things sufficient enough, accomplishing dreams in their own right. Is it enough for His Name Was Yesterday? "Absolutely not", says vocalist John Green. "Now that we've gotten a taste of what we can do on a big stage by performing at this years’ Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival on the Jagermeister stage, we're aiming to hit the road alongside a national headlining band or with a festival similar to that of 'Mayhem." His Name Was Yesterday’s continued success throughout the national scene has gained them critical acclaim touring independently in support of their EP ‘Witness to a Dying World’. Now armed with worldwide distribution through MVD Entertainment, and a Self Titled full length record produced by Mike Hatalak & Judah Moses Nero at DWS Studios (It Dies Today – Lividity, STEMM-Bloodscent) the collective members of HNWY are relentless in pushing themselves further up the ladder. This undying dedication to the music they create is evident in many forms. One of which, is their esteemed endorsement list that continues to grow. Jagermeister, Roaring Line Energy Drink, In Tune Guitar Picks, Dream Cymbals, and INS Clothing are just a few of HNWY’s supporting cast of major name companies. “If the band’s debut EP “Witness to a Dying World” was HNWY’s jumping off point, then “His Name Was Yesterday” is the vehicle that introduces this incredibly talented band to world. It is an effective exclamation point on the bands spot as one of, if not the, best bands the fair city of Buffalo has to offer (the latter is more than likely more true).” –Brian Campbell – Get Exposed!
