| About Historiae |
Historiae is a one-man band formed in Rome during the spring of 2002 by Historiae (all instruments & vocals) with help of D. Cannata (drums programming).
In february 2006, Historiae released the first demo, Genus MMV (translated from latin BIRTH 2005), containing five tracks (plus an intro) of raw and fast black metal composed, recorded and produced in some session between 2002-2005.
For some reasons. there is no work of mastering on this demo, every track has a different mixing, considering in this way the release as a book, which has different stories not linked one with the others. "Decus Romanus" is the only track dealing about Rome's history , whose lyrics, written by Eugenio Sacco from Mournful Grace, is inspired to Caesar's De Bello Gallico.
In September 2006 a split 7" with Mournful Grace has been released, containing a new song called "De Karmica Meditatione" ("about Karmic Meditation"). This track shows a different aspect of Historiae, featuring a more depressive sound than the one of demo. Currently, Historiae is working on new material, a concept album based on Caesar's De Bello Civili.
