Heroes

WHO IS THE DOG?
This is my dog prince. I have five Chinese Crested dogs that I love and show. Prince is the father of several champions. Right now he is living with a friend of mine who loves him, and he is happier there because they 'do more.'
And - to answer your question - "Nope, he was born that way. He has almost no hair on his body. His two sons have no hair on their bodies."

I love talking to my fans and new writers. I decided to build a myspace site so I could meet people like you. I grew up on stories of Ireland and Scotland. Ten years of my life were spend in the Haliburton Highlands of Canada. Now, I live near Stratford, and Listowel(home of the largest Irish festival in the world), and of course, Fergus Ontario, home of the largest Scot Festival in the world.
Sometimes I love the feeling of writing 'what I know' like the experience of being near a wild highland oxen, or a real jousting tournament where 'knights' on Frisians battle and test their skill.
My Father is of Scot descent. My Grandfather came from Ireland. My husband is Welsh. I love to draw from the people I know to fill in my characters. I have spend many long afternoons driving through the hills along Huron discussing how a Laird would act if his bride did not understand her 'place' as the mistress of a manor, or what a highlander would do if confronted with a wilful woman who offered her heart - no strings attached.
I have two books ready for release:
The Pledge is about a woman who is ignorant of the ways between a man and a woman. All she knows is that she has found a family - finally - and she must do anything to save her new family, even if it means heading to the Tower of London instead of her husband.
The Pawn is set in the same time period. I love the Stuart era. Women ruled. The bible had not been 'abridged'. Feudal lords still ruled. In this story my heroine, a countess, is caught between two queens, two religions, and two worlds. She will be sold into marriage at 11 by Mary I, trapped in a scheme of treachery by Queen Elizabeth, and forced to live among highlanders by Mary Queen of Scot. In the end, place her head on a chopping block for the love of the only man who saw her as something more than a 'pawn.'

Earth Hour is an international event that asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour on the evening of 29 March at 8 pm local time until 9 pm to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions.
It is promoted by World Wide Fund for Nature Australia (WWF), an environmental lobby group, and the Sydney Morning Herald. The first Earth Hour was held in Sydney, Australia between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm on 31 March 2007. The 2007 Earth Hour is estimated to have cut Sydney's mains electricity consumption by between 2.1% and 10.2% for that hour, with as many as 2.2 million people taking part. A second Earth Hour, in 2008, is planned to be an international event held in Sydney, many partner cities, and individuals around the world participating.
On Saturday, March 29, 2008, Earth Hour invites people around the world to turn off their lights for one hour – from 8:00pm to 9:00pm in their local time zone. On this day, cities around the world, including Copenhagen, Chicago, Melbourne, Dubai, and Tel Aviv, will hold events to acknowledge their commitment to energy conservation.
To mark the moment, please turn off all your lights and unused appliances at the switch at exactly 8 pm for one hour.
We can sacrifice just one hour that can make a difference for everyone, can’t we?
Thanks so much in helping make Earth Hour a huge global event and enjoy your hour of darkness.
