Helmet, Handsome, Shiner, Jawbox, Hum, Weezer, Classic rock, and stuff, ya know the usuals, and maybe some of the not so usuals like Journey, Adult Swim., Nintendo, Guitar Hero, coffee, vitiamin water...
Similarly enamored of atmospherics, History rocks to a much more visceral beat with a sound that's heavy and catchy, but thick with dynamics and a touch of punk rock. It's been said before in these pages, but it bears repeating: History is one of this city's best bands.
-Jason Ferguson -Orlando Weekly 10/20/2005
"...angular guitar riffs with a mean, disctintive distortion..."
- Outburn Magazine issue 44 June 2008
"...if it's keyboard-splashed indie rock with a D.C. undercurrent you're scouring for, History provide a textbook definition."
- AP Magazine issue 240 June 2008
"Even a cursory listen to History will show that this punchy Orlando-based quartet know their, uhh, history as well as keeping a weather eye on the future, melding the grooving post-hardcore thunk of Quicksand,Helmet, and the oft-forgotten Handsome with artful latter-day Dischord influences and a heap of swooshing electronics to help cushion the blow of all those crunching riffs."
- Rock Sound Magazine (U.K) issue 110 June 2008
