My name is Simon John Patrick,
I was born on 14 November 1973, in Northampton General Hospital at 11.10 am.
I then lived with my Mum and Grandparents.
We stayed with my Grandparents for 3 years before moving in to a council house not far from them.
My mother then married and I was adopted by Mr John Patrick, my adopted father.
My Father was a big Elvis fan and toured the country as an Elvis tribute and entered many talent competitions.
I attended Earls Barton infants & junior school before moving on to John Lea Secondary School where I learnt to play the drums etc.
After leaving school at 16 I became a cobbler making shoes as an apprentice for two years.
I then became a parcel delivery man working for Lynx Express for 12 years and was self-employed with Lynx for 5 of those years.
I have always loved to sing and loved Shaken Stevens in the 80s.
After playing the hits of Elvis he took over my life ad became my all time idol and still is to this day.
I can’t believe how much impact one man can have on someone’s life but he has in my life and I can’t imagine life without him in it. T.C.B. ELVIS
I became a big Elvis fan at the age of 6 however enjoyed most rock n roll music the likes of shakin stevens, The jets, coast to coast, etc through my life.
But Elvis has always stood out as my idol as did the bands on the rock n roll circuit.
I always loved to get up with the local bands and do a version of “Hound dog” or “Baby lets play house” and the crowd would get up and jive or bop away to these Elvis classics and still do to this day.
I was then asked at the age of 20 why don’t I get a band together or try doing a tribute to the king!!!
I thought long n hard about it and said to myself what an amazing job??
Singing and performing The Kings music!!
So I saved and saved until I had enough money to buy my P.A ,costumes & music,
I then had posters & flyers made and posted them to many clubs in the area hoping id get a chance.
A couple of months later I finally got the break I wanted in front of 200 people at Earls Barton WMC, it was a very nerve racking night for me, but it went down a storm and I haven’t looked back since.
My show consists of the whole Elvis story 50s 60s 70s with professionally made music & costumes from the USA.
In 2007 I received the honour of being voted best Elvis tribute in Great Britain & runners up in Europe at the annual ELVIS PRESLEY TRIBUTE AWARDS in Blackpool & currently through to the world finals in Nottingham on March 1st, Where the winner will get to play in Memphis for the 30th Anniversary of the Kings death.
I am also currently touring with my rock n roll band “REBEL & THE RENEGADES”
Which we cover all kinds of rock n roll & rockabilly music, we also perform an early sun recording show with the band which takes you right back to 1956 with those legends Scotty,Dj,& Bill “KEEP ROCKIN”
