Influences
A variety of Southern Gospel Music artists have been wonderful influences, including... The Hoppers, Talley Trio, Mike & Kelly Bowling, The Goodmans, The Perrys, and many more!
Singer-songwriter Michael Chesnut founded the group nearly seven years ago when he felt called upon to reach audiences great and small with the blessings of Jesus Christ. Mike's mature tenor tones and inspired writing bring a sweetness and respect for the Southern Gospel tradition as performed by His Way II.
Cindy Hall sings alto for the group. Cindy is a pastor's wife who has travelled across the country with her husband. They are currently living in Goshen, IN. Sunday, Feb. 15th was Cindy's first concert with us. She has been involved in the music ministry in every church where they have pastored. Her beautiful, mellow alto voice will touch the hearts of listeners.
Larry Counterman sings bass. Larry has a smooth bass voice that will rival any in the industry. He has been singing for many years and has traveled with groups such as The Northmen and most recently the Songsters. We welcom Larry to His Way II and are excited about the new dimension Larry will add to our group. Larry's wife, Cindy is a big supporter of his music ministry and will be traveling with us as her work schedule allows.
The versatile group is managed by Margaret Chesnut, Mike's wife. Margaret also expertly runs the sound for each performance.
