hitide.lotide formed in the fall of 2005 as a creative outlet for Milwaukee native Nate Gruber. What started then, from the planting of the seed has evolved in to a fully developed group of musicians, writers, painters, as well as graphic, costume, and set designers. The group's debut album; "The Forest" is the tale of a young Koala's wanderings through the woods, and is a beautiful representation as well as culmination of 3 years of brainstorming, recording, pot-lucking, and creating.
Noted for their live performances, hitide.lotide insists upon the truth and reality found within the forest. For them, the creatures who sing in such somber tones come to life on stage through their instruments, as well as visually through the meticulous overhead-animation, bringing the performance full-circle.
Audio format of the album can be purchased via the links to the left. Accompanying the physical disc is a beautifully sketched map of the forest, alongside a short story of the Koala's journey. Additionally included are handwritten lyric books, each scripted by the forest creatures themselves!!!
