The year is 2006. Three bored rockers from the Rio de Janeiro scene try to shake things up and get together to play. Either because their bands have split and/or stopped their activites, or because they were looking for some new adventures. The sound is a raw punk rock'n' roll, but melodic -- 'coz they have no intention to scare the girls off the gigs. Bruno Della Motta came from Defalla and was leaving his former band Cyberia as a side project with no other members apart from himself, and no gig activities by now. Looking for a "Group" band activity and willing to play live again with his guitar, he joined forces with the hyper-active-multi-band-man Bruno "Pavio" Pinella -- from the band NOVE and Te Voy a Quebrar -- who became the bass player of the band and invited Mauricio Machado -- former drummer of Bendis -- to complete the Power Trio.
The band got together in april 2006 and started from the scratch, arranging some songs brought by Della Motta, influenced by the riffs of the likes of Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Sex Pistols, with raw rythm parts like AC/DC, Ramones and Motorhead, mixing all it up with modern stuff like Guns'N'Roses, Social Distortion, Backyard Babies and the Cult. The mix attracted both the rocker boys -- amazed by the hard riff-based sound -- as well as the girls -- who like the sticky, melodic, chorus parts.
Debuting three months later, after rehearsal and songwriting, in a classic gig with Bastardz, Cooper Cobras and Mustang, the band is in non-stop motion playing gig after gig in most of the best underground rock clubs between Rio de Janeiro and Niterói, with other concerts in some neigbour towns. Nothing seems to stay out the Hitmen's aim... and you're on their HITLIST!
