The Motherload are three ‘should be brothers’ (Anders, Rob and Piers) who formed in early 2009 to spend their time writing groove infused indie rock tunes in their pad. Inspired by an overwhelming urge to better the reams of monotone manufactured pop songs released and re-released by labels wary of taking risks, they set out to create a sound and vibe that people can relate to.
Wanting to prove that the three piece sound can be the most captivating of all, they went about making a name for themselves across the city of Bristol. Lyrical, expressive, rocking, hip swinging, melodic and full of all the flavours from the excessive amount of musical genres the boys delve into, The Motherload have developed a sound that always gets the girls dancing and the lads errrr, well doing what lads do.
The boys love writing music, but feel that being in a band is about giving something to the people that enjoy listening; a great live performance, a tune that they can sing along to because it means something to them, a night that you go away feeling good about because you got into what you saw.
The Motherload give their music away for free and want every last person with ears to hear it, so listen, like, see the show and keep an eye out for The Motherload.
"Combine the laid back, impossibly catchy melodic styles of the UK’s chart bothering indie hordes with an undercurrent of angular guitar work, a bedrock of bounding rhythm and round it off in a refreshingly unassuming approach; voila, you have Bristol trio The Motherload... it’s hardly difficult to see why the band have been raising some eyebrows in areas of the UK music community lately" Rob Sayce - rockpulse.co.uk
"Anyone who is anyone in the music industry is talking about Bristol trio The Motherload right now..." Ocelot
"A heady contribution to Bristol's music scene.... melodic and relentless" Venue Magazine
"The Motherload - A classic poptastic centre, sugar-coated in a rockin' hard shell, you'll find them extremely hard to resist." Pet Sounds
"ACE Indie flavoured trio for the 21st Century" Gimme Shelter!
"I have never heard of it" Margaret Thatcher

I got completely leathered at Oxjam (heheeeeehee) - it was fookin ace! The Kraize, The Goodness, Centrefolds, Yes Rebels and New Rhodes all rocked it - all in one day, was pretty amazing! I was the only Muffer there (although our manager and his mrs was with me!) as the others had money issues! Dirt!
Would be cool if you can make it over for Halloween - I know both the Kraize lads and us are well looking forward to it!
