Born to a teenage mother Jermaine Carson was forced to grow up fast. The crime-infested neighborhood of Dauphin Island Parkway, also known as "The Dip, was the birthplace of which the underground rap world now knows as Hittman. At the age of nine Hittman was recruited by "neighborhood entrepreneurs" to make local deliveries giving him insight into a world of a million and one hustles. This period in his life helped him grow into a gets it by any means necessary" mind frame. Hittmans give it or take it attitude lead him into constant run INS with the law. After a close friend was shot by police and later sentenced to life in prison for attempted murder of a police officer, Hittman tried escaping the streets by joining the Army, but Hittman was not the model soldier Uncle Sam was looking for. After constant trouble and numerous arrests Hittman was dishonorably discharged from the Army for misconduct. After returning home broke and fresh out of jail, the father of a premature born daughter turned his life around.
Hittman began entering local talent shows to test his skills. After crafting his skills in rhyme spitting he began to take the once hobby serious, dominating the local music scene with features on every local artist album. The features caught the attention of one of the cities hottest independent labels (D.M.P. Records). Three months after joining D.M.P. Hittman released the underground classic album Street Life Without Parole. The release earned him a nomination by Murder Dog Magazine as one of the top 100 albums in 2001. Hungry for more Hittman released a mix tape titled "Underground Hustla" which took the gulf coast by storm. Hittman exploded regionally with a song he co-wrote with label mate B-Dameezy titled "Yo Chic" which received more spins on cumulus station 93 WBLX than many major artists on major labels such as Interscope, Def Jams and others. Hittman teamed up with C-Nile, for many features on C-Niles second (Who Can I Trust) and third (Minor Set Back) albums, which received major attention in the southeast. Hittman moved to Atlanta and inked a management deal with Wall 2 Wall Entertainment and Management. Two months later Hittman dropped a groundbreaking mix tape with label mate Gusto titled "Street Stories vol. 1". After moving several thousand units out the trunk the streets were calling for Hittman in high demand. Now Hittman is cocked and reloaded for his sophomore release Boss Life. The album "Boss Life" captures the essence of the streets and a playa's mentality all in one. Hittman's sound has been compared to many of the greats. Conviction of Scarface, Pain of Tupac and fluid delivery are all comparisons that have been made but it's a sure fact that Hittman is in a league of his own. Whether you call him Hittman or Boss Playa the truth remains the multi talented man is here to stay. The Boss is Back!!!!!
