About me:

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Ron Couts and I am the owner and luthier of HMR Guitars. My passion for guitar building started about two years ago, when I was watching my 15 year old nephew play guitar and thought how great it would be to make him a custom piece. Although woodworking is something I have always enjoyed, guitar building was something new and challenging. After building my first guitar for my nephew, I took the guitar to many local music stores and showed it to many musicians. I received a lot of positive feedback. With great advice from different musicians, HMR Guitars was started. I have been building custom guitars and basses since.
