Art, reading, painting/drawing, sleeping, fencing, nature/science. I do a lot of volunteer work for various groups and get sucked into other projects due to an inability to say "no".
Music
I've got quirky musical tastes...Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan, Sarah Brightman, Tori Amos, Linkin Park, Loreena Mckennit, Adema,Garbage, U2, and I love the whole 80's genre. While most of my favourite vocalists tend to be female, lately I've been drawn to some really cool male singers. Rob Thomas, David Draiman, Darren Hayes, Chester Bennington all have very distinctive and expressive voices. My playlist bounces around a lot, but there are some really great tunes on there.
Movies
I'm a movie addict. You name it, I love it. Sweeping costume dramas to violent horror flicks. If it has a rampaging beast in it...I'm so there. Jaws, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Last Unicorn, Underworld, etc. If you haven't seen it, you've got to check out "Night of the Lepus"...giant.killer.rabbits. Dumb comedies are also on the list...Mean Girls, Young Frankenstein, Jumpin'Jack Flash.
Television
Family guy, Simpsons, Science Channel, National Geographic Channel, South Park, Footballer's Wives, HEX, Rescue Me, Heroes, CSI (the original Vegas one, not the crappy off-shoots). Oh and those Discovery Health specials where they delve into bizarre medical mysteries.
Books
....Anything by Laurel Hamilton, Anne Rice, Anne Mccaffrey, Michael Crichton, Peter S. Beagle. "The Alienist" by Caleb Carr. "Density of Souls" by Christopher Rice. "Wild Seed" by Octavia Butler. The Harry Potter series. I love looking through architectural design books, natural history books, anything with big glossy pictures that you can get lost in. Dinosaurs...dinosaur books are all over my place. I also love to scour and shred home design magazines for future project ideas. Nothing beats the smell of a library!
About me: I'm a dork, first and foremost....but that should be painfully obvious to anyone who actually looks at my interests. I've got 5 cats, can't swim and get motion sickeness at the drop of a hat. Total sugar and caffeine junkie...my diet would put the average hummingbird into a diabetic coma. I'm beginning to think that eBay should become the official 8th Deadly Sin.
Life is a never ending game of beating your head against the wall just because it feels so good when you stop.
Myspace Backgrounds
Who I'd like to meet: A lot of people, but sadly I think most of them are dead, so that makes it redundant. But I'd give my left nut to hang with Charles R. Knight for awhile.
