Hoboken are a Glasgow-based group who combine the drama of classic vocal
performers with inspired electronica to produce dark yet sizzlingly danceable
electro-noir songs about love, sex and death. Formed in 2001, Hoboken released
their first award winning single, Hotel Lisboa, in July 2003, and it received
rave reviews. The band’s second single, Vainglorious, followed. The album Crazy
Glue was released in September 2004. Hoboken have played shows across the UK and
Scandinavia, including headline gigs at Glasgow's King Tuts and The Arches, and
a 16 date UK support tour with electro legends The Human League. The band
released single, Beauty Queen in 2006 distributed through Universal. In summer
2007 Beauty Queen was included on the Sony/BMG DJ compilation album Bocca
NightsXL. Although we haven't made a conscious decision to stop making records,
there is no planned release on the horizon. We have been busy with various
projects:
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the
years and if we write and record any more pop songs together we'll
let you know (and politely ask you to listen to them again!).
Enjoy the following clips. Love HOBOKEN
Hoboken's debut album and singles are still available to buy at the Online Store.
