The Hulk... gets stronger when he gets angry... that's pretty amazing.
Batman. The only successful superhero without powers. Kudos to the guy!
However Jesus, with his massive ceps could demolish the both of them just by looking at them, or save them both just by dying for them... So it looks like Jesus wins hands down.
If this page touches you, then I praise God that He has chosen to glorify Himself in challenging you. If you click "back", "home", or that little cross in the top right corner of this window, I praise God that He is still bringing glory to Himself. That He is so gracious to bless you with more time to turn to Him, the only one whom can truly save.
Understanding oneself can be incredibly difficult for many reasons. Rarely is anyone's self-perception aligned with how society tends to view them, and even when it is, how could mere words accurately describe such intricacy as is found in human personality?
There are a few bits and pieces about me that you might say define who I am, I'm a Maths Teacher at St Andrew's Cathedral School, I serve at church in music, and my lifelong goal is to work for the Gospel. All of this is because I care about people; specifically, where they spend eternity. Because eternity is infinitely longer than the trivial 80 odd years we get here.
There are really only two facts soley about me that people NEED to know:
1) I am sinful.
As a result of this depraved fact, I am undeserving of each and every single breath I have taken in my life along with the thousands more that God may grant in the future He has assigned me.
2) I am forgiven.
Jesus, being the Son of God, yet also the full radiance of the Father's glory, and the exact representation of his being, in the ultimate display of love and Grace, took the punishment for my sinfulness (mentioned in fact 1) before I even knew him. Christ Jesus threw himself in front of the speeding bullets that the firing squad of God's justice rightfully directed at me.
By accepting fact 2, my slate is clean, and in the raging fire of God's righteous judgement, I stand unscathed where those fires cannot harm me. I stand safely on burnt ground created by the sacrifice of Jesus.
Who I'd like to meet: More people who wish to be prayed for, encouraged, or challenged by the biblical TRUTH that continues to challenge agnostic scholars, defy athiest scientists, and embarrass ignorant fools.
Well, Ive been on holidays for about 2 weeks and I hate it already! I forgot how BORING holidays are!!! Im trying to find a full-time job 'coz I only work saturdays at my current job and thats really no help at all.
But congrats ..ing uni! Whats plans from now on? Somethign exciting?
hey i just listerned to ur sermon.. i thoug it was good.. i thought that u did a good job expalining the verses and the passage clearly, and u had good illistrations. i ony wish that i had heard it last year when i was having trouble with one of my friends... hope all is well...
yeah im not getting to church as much as i hoped.. but ive started a bible study in school with the other christian guy in my year.. its been going for two weeks, its a bit slow but its getting there..
all of the christians here are very planetshakers, hillsong and this big similar church called riverview.. so things are a bit different..
all is good though.. been reading romans and corithians lately.. good gear
that's awesome pete! i really should download some sermons... i have one, and it was great when i was workin out (which i should do again sometime - that was four months ago) so on my create-routine list would be: listen to sermons, work out, read more, catch up with people more (in person), go to bed and wake up at the same times each day, stop thinking start doing... the usual i guess ahaha
i'll keep your wise thoughts in mind too. been church-hoppin a bit. its always wise to be aware of opinionated and/or worldly views and interpretations rather than facts... no big changes here though. still at st andrew's (the church), not youth leadin anymore but yes
not bad. i've applied to college for next year. didn't get accepted. didn't get rejected. have to do a live audition in november (the course is 'contemporary vocals and worship leading' at ccc oxford falls). oh and they called yesterday. something about an interview with the head of department. should call back. scary
apart from that. working pretty much full-time as of this week (40ish hours a week) at the chemist.
i've decided today is my turn-around day. the day when all the good habits start, routine becomes routine. get back to me on that. it's all about accountability
how is you and God champ? life sounds hectic. uni is hectic. teaching (i can imagine) is hectic. (thanks study camp, for adding a new word to my everyday vocabulary!)
how are you? have you started prac yet? how's uni going?
