It was Hogwash who came out next, immediately proclaiming to be “Pickled Dick from Romford, Essex”. Their performance was tight and honed to perfection, reminiscent of fat wreck bands of the 90’s. They were effortlessly likeable, pumping more energy into their set than I’ve seen from a band in a long while and packed their performance with all the wit you’d expect from the funniest English native bands, an incredible achievement considering that English is, at best their second language.

Here's HOGWASH's story to date:
-2002 They formed, started playing local gigs, lost their original drummer and bassist, and got the definitive line-up by the end of the year.
-2003 They recorded and released a 5 song EP called Insert Title Here, played more shows in Paris and started to explore the rest of France.
-2004 They toured France, Belgium and Switzerland with M*Sixteen and played a whole more bunch of local shows.
-2005 They recorded and released their debut album 0ld's Cool, New's Cool, and toured France and Spain.
-2006 They toured France with Hateful Monday, supported No Use For A Name and The Lawrence Arms in Paris then toured the UK with Captain Everything!
-2007 They supported Much The Same in the UK, Belgium and Paris then toured the UK for the third time in the summer with Mike TV (formerly known as Pickled Dick) with an appearance at the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool, UK.
-2008 Their 30 second song "Aftershow At Lil Jon's" appeared on Punktastic's 30 Seconds To Impact compilation, followed by one-off shows and festivals with A Wilhelm Scream, Sick Of It All and Millencolin at the start of the year. The band is now finishing writing kickass songs for a second album!
