While living among locals Hokshila observed not only different instrumental techniques but also he faced values, lifestyle and social-political problems of the countries he lived in.
Hey, my name is Hokshila aka Hok. I was born in Vilnius. I am exploring the world; for more than 12 years now, through Africa, South and Central America, Japan, Middle East, India, Russia, Europe, Canada, The States etc. I am here now in Kauai. This is a very very long journey; so to find and experience this island makes me appreciate every moment on this sacred land. You can find me, play and jam, all over the islands.
The songs on ms reflect myself before my adventures through Hawaii. I am evolving and my style and music now feature slack key (Hawaiian tuning). ppl enjoy my music...I will record and share some soon. I play at the local farmers market, beach, caves, old abandoned buildings and boats. You will not find me playing in bars or drugged parties; I enjoy entertaining and sharing my energy in clear consciousness and uplifting nature.
This is the best life ever; I am flowing out of the ‘systems’ of the political agendas and my goal is to not use money as a tool of trade; there are other incredible sources available. My life is love, tropical ocean, raw food, slack key, gratitude and spirit of Aloha. I shall not only change the history of music; i am changing the history of the world through the sun. My political views are to fight slavery. It’s not gone, it’s increasing. Look around you…What this system wants you to eat, to think, to speak, and how do we play on this ground? What do you perceive? What a game…
