   About Holler Wild Rose

"Had The Verve not imploded, and instead hired a Thom Yorke-ophile Jeff Buckley to sing his interpretation of Sigur Rós covering Loveless, you'd have Holler, Wild Rose!. Our Little Hymnal creates the dark, almost frighteningly personal, ultimately redemptive atmospherics of a moving black and white art film. This is music to immerse oneself in -- unplug everything else, put on the headphones, turn out the light, recline comfortably, and let the songs carry you off to wherever each takes you."

--Ted Leibowitz, BAGeL Radio

______________________________________________________

Holler, Wild Rose! is John Mosloskie (vocals/guitars/keys/banjo/slide guitar), Ryan Smyth (drums/percussion), Ryan Cheresnick (guitars), Morgan Mosloskie (keys, flute, piano), Scott Vangenderen (bass), Mike Ortega (keys/guitars/vocals), Steve Oyola (keys/guitars) and Lou D’Elia (guitars).

Holler, Wild Rose! was named after the album’s opening track. “The joy, hope, energy, imagery and the wall of sound that come from this song come from what formed us as the band we are today,” says drummer Ryan Smyth. “I think it represents us perfectly, and that is the reason we adorn its name.”

______________________________________________________

"I don't recommend doing anything else -- such as reading, writing or dusting -- when listening to Our Little Hymnal...with a voice somewhere between Jim James, Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley, lead vocalist and multi-instrumentatlist John Mosloskie leads this exceptional band through dramatic, melodic twists and turns that will keep you staring -- yes, staring -- at the speaker to catch what will happen next. Imagine if Explosions In the Sky had a lead vocalist, and you're getting close."

-- Performing Songwriter Magazine, November/December 2007

"This album just sounds wicked!"

-- Mathieu Schreyer, KCRW

"Few bands match their wall of guitar, wide-screen wash...one bets it’s awesome live, too."

-- Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover

...it is almost a mind explosion worth of sources, but somehow this New Jersey band was able to harness those powers and channel them into a damn beautiful album."

--The Tripwire

"Holler, Wild Rose! channel psychedelic energy into powerful, moving shoegaze rock. On their new CD 'Our Little Hymnal,' the New Jersey-based group shows their amazing ability to transition smoothly from tranquil, murky moods to explosive moments of release."

-- NPR's Second Stage

"Packed to the brim with juicy, yet hollow and fragile, indie rock build-ups, and overflowing with delicate Bowie-esque interpretations, Holler! Wild Rose blends together organic elements with their eyes closed, letting the sounds escape their modest bodies."

-- Exclaim! Magazine Canada

You guys do rule; even enough to use a whole pronoun, despite previous praise.

It was a pleasure to meet and share a stage with you all. Let's do it again soon.

So I have my passport and I convinced my friend to go get his border pass, I arranged to stay at my cousins in Vermont, and I asked for it off from work. Just waiting for approval then I am buying my tickets. So what I am trying to say is... I WILL be going to Canada just to see you guys play for Switchfoot... Woot Woot!
