Screenwriting & Film Studies (M.A., M.F.A.) is a summer program. While the M.A. is designed for those whose interest lies more in the academic study of film, the M.F.A. is for students who wish to focus strongly on the screenwriting component.
Who I'd like to meet: The Hollins Screenwriting & Film Studies department is a community of screenwriters, filmmakers, and students who share a love of film, film production, writing, creative discussion and casting calls.

A controversial new play by a student in the Playwright's Lab at Hollins University, Clinton A. Johnston, will be presented at Mill Mountain Theatre from March 13th -16th. The production, performed by a professional group of actors from Charter Theatre of Washington DC, takes you on a touching, thoughtful, and hysterically funny tour of the state of Blackness in America. For one night, no matter where you are from or what you look like, you get to be African-American. Don't miss it!
