Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, traditional British, Irish, and American folk music, bluegrass, blues, The Albion Band, Bruce Cockburn, Joni Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Richard Thompson, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Cat Stevens, Amazing Blondel, Eliza Carthy, Pentangle, Waterson:Carthy, I Monster, Woodie Guthrie, very early jazz, early Vaudeville, early Tin Pan Alley, protest songs, Ian and Sylvia (when they were folkies), Gordon Lightfoot, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, roots music, Americana, folklore, history, politics ..
The Hollis-Robinson Project is a duo of music hobbyists (although both of us have worked as professional musicians all those years ago....). We enjoy all sorts of music, from classical and jazz to rock to traditional acoustic folk to all kinds of strange stuff. We never know what we'll end up writing -- our songs have ranged from rocked-out Child ballads to soft acoustic numbers to Americana to novelty tunes to....whatever we feel like doing, basically! We work together by exchanging wav files over the internet since we live in two countries separated by the Atlantic Ocean. We hope to be able to record again in the same room one of these days; it'd be much easier!

Hi Guys, Hadn't been by for a visit lately (sorry, the world has been nuts for me). I'm still in awe at the great music you guys put out with the file sharing. Don't know how, where, or when you find the time. Thanks for listening to Fat Cat Blues too, I haven't had any time for reviewing this month, but the last week of August I'm bacheloring it with my wife and daughter on vacation without me (boo-hoo). I'll have to play catch up then (Didn't see anything posted by you yet....???) Thanks again for the friendship and keep those tunes coming, I'm out hear waiting and listening I promise. Love and peace my friends, Wayne
