It all started in the back of a collegial classroom. The year was 2004 and the place was Laval, Quebec. A drummer named Frank and a bassist known as Vince had just met and talked about the possibilities of jamming a couple of times. So they did and so began the birth of a dream. A dream to start something that would lead their lives somewhere else, a dream to do things differently. A few months later, in February 2005, a guitarist by the name of Alex joined them for a jam and out of this peculiar jam was born the band that will be now known as Hollow Chapter. Shortly started the creation of the first few songs and the search for a vocalist. But after an unsatisfied quest that lead nowhere they could find a serious and implicate singer, Frank, who writes most of the lyrics, took the decision to leave the drums so he can concentrate on full time singing.
This is when started the painful search for a new drummer and 4th member. In February 2006, one year after the creation of the band, Hollow Chapter found themselves an involved drummer but it appeared it was only temporary as in August 2006, Luc had to move away to study. Unable to keep up with one member too far away from home, HC was back as a trio again. Hoping to find a new permanent figure behind the drum kit, the following year saw the band playing a few more shows while cycling through a variety of temporary drummers. Unfortunately, it appeared none of them were either dedicated or competent enough to keep up with the band. As for now, Luc is still helping us by playing shows and learning all the songs we write while he's away, but we're still seeking for a 4th full time member after all these fucking long years!
