The early years, 2004-2008:
It all started in the back of a collegial classroom. The year was 2004 and the place was Laval, Quebec. A drummer named Frank and a bassist known as Vince had just met and talked about the possibilities of jamming just for fun. So they did and so began the birth of a dream. A dream to do things differently. A dream that would allow them to play the music they love. And so a few months later, in February 2005, a guitarist by the name of Alex joined them for a jam and out of this peculiar jam was born the band that will be now known as Hollow Chapter. This is when started the creation of the first few songs, followed by the search for a singer. After many unsatisfied auditions that lead nowhere they could find a serious and implicate singer, Frank, who writes most of the lyrics, took the decision to leave the drums so he could concentrate on full time singing. This is when the painful quest for a new drummer and 4th member started.
In February 2006, just one year after the creation of the band, Hollow Chapter finally found themselves an involved drummer. Frank’s long time friend and former At Bearing End’s member, Luc joined the band. Sadly, it appeared it was only temporary as in fall 2006; Luc had to move away to study. Unable to keep up with one member too far away from home, HC was back as a trio again. Hoping to find a new stable figure behind the drums kit, the following years saw the band playing a few more shows while cycling through a numbers of temporary drummers. Unfortunately, it appeared none of them were either dedicated or competent enough to keep up with the band. And so they kept on searching…
The present:
As the year 2008 was drawing to its end, at last, Hollow Chapter found themselves a permanent drummer in the person of Evan. Not only that but also, Alex, a second guitarist joined the line up at the same time. Since the creation of the very first song, four long years of ups and downs have passed. By November 2008, Hollow Chapter was reborn and now finally complete.

Salut! MsP a franchi la première étape au « Rock contest 2k9 », nous seront donc de nouveau sur scène pour les quarts de finales , samedi le 11 avril à 19h30 à l’impérial de Québec!
Àprès cette dernière soirée survoltée d’énergie, ce sera sans doute un autre rendez-vous à ne pas manquer ! On vous attend!
