Hollow Face. Maybe you’ve heard the name in a local band line-up. Maybe you’ve never heard of them at all. Either way, they are a name you are going to want to take notice of. Formed early in 2007, Hollow Face has a level of haunting melodies and lyrics that veteran bands work years to achieve. With Cory Hoffarth’s smooth and powerful voice backed up by a band rich with guitar and drum solos, they sound more like something you would turn on the radio and hear rather than a band just getting its start.

Hollow Face was born in early 2007 between drummer Ryan Martin and vocalist Cory Hoffarth over a few beers in Saint Cloud, MN. Soon after, Eric Marvel teamed up with the duo playing bass while continuing recruitment for this new army. Over the next few months, Brandon Zylka soon enlisted guitar duties with Eric switching to guitar and Gene Starr handling the low end.
During June of 2007, Gene stepped down from his bass duties and Ben Killanowski stepped up to replace him. After several months of constant touring of the Minnesota area, the band stepped into Mrs. Sipp studios studios in Saint Cloud to start work on their 4 song demo. Along with a live cut of "Lies" off an on air interview with Rockin' 101, Hollow Face released their 4 song demo in late 2007. During the middle of 2008, Hollow Face parted ways with Eric and Ben and recruited Luke Weide to take over bass duties.
After thousands of CD's and relentless touring, Hollow Face was voted by the Saint Cloud Times as the Must See Band of 2008 gaining them a larger fan base and regular rotation on Rockin 101's MN Homegrown and Jam.MN's "A" List by Adam Hammer. Make sure to keep your ear to the wind, because Hollow Face is going to be making some noise for awhile!
