A new singer with an impressive command of jazz, soul and acoustic styles.
Holly's voice has a loose, easygoing sense of time and swing, relaxed and on the money at the same time – a tough combination that most singers never achieve.
Her vocal range is wide – from husky to sweet - her original songs are cool, and her covers beautifully chosen. Influences include India Arie, Chaka Khan, Norah Jones, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Cassandra Wilson, Brand New Heavies, Herbie Hancock, Nina Simone... but there’s more of Holly Clayton in what she does than any of these, for which we are truly thankful, because she's got a unique thing happening that we love.
And we're not alone – Holly was the only Australian selected for the finals of the international vocal competition at the 2007 Montreux Jazz Festival.

I know Holly, it's absolutely devastating. I've really been away from the media where I am, so havn't really caught much, just heard a lot of bad things. Wow, sounds like a beautiful little trip! How is Adam going? Hope you're doing ok now, and are feeling all better!

as for the books, im so jelous, i really should read into that time from the people who were there, i might learn some good truths, i hope they come out over here, but NYC being the HQ of that time thats why theyd be there,
and yeah you have to read woody, although it has become my holy grail of ultimate posessions, i will be shattered letting him go, i will have to try and buy it off you when he returns,
and yeah, woody didnt deserve the way he went out, he deserved far better, but he would have taken it in his stride, as he always said " take it easy, but take it"
Hello beautiful Holly, we're so glad to hear you're safe from the Canadian stage tragedy. We've been thinking about you. Philadelphia, that's somewhere I also havn't been! So great that you're enjoying yourself!! :) I'm leaving August 26th, but I still don't know where i'll be placed, as my spot at the Red Cross is no longer. I don't really mind though, I'm just so happy to be going! Jase sends his love to you too :) Have heard little snippets from Adam about how you're going, we've been missing you.
