A new singer with an impressive command of jazz, soul and acoustic styles.
Holly's voice has a loose, easygoing sense of time and swing, relaxed and on the money at the same time – a tough combination that most singers never achieve.
Her vocal range is wide – from husky to sweet - her original songs are cool, and her covers beautifully chosen. Influences include India Arie, Chaka Khan, Norah Jones, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Cassandra Wilson, Brand New Heavies, Herbie Hancock, Nina Simone... but there’s more of Holly Clayton in what she does than any of these, for which we are truly thankful, because she's got a unique thing happening that we love.
And we're not alone – Holly was the only Australian selected for the finals of the international vocal competition at the 2007 Montreux Jazz Festival.

I tried to call you the other day just after I met Adam! I want to thank you for being such an awesome person. Someone that gives so much to your community of friends and whatever you set your hands on. I think we should definitely meet and hang somewhere between western victoria and mid north coast NSW very soon. I still tell people about your beautiful voice when in musicall conversations. And yes, i had such a wonderful time, was SO good to be back with my american family after 4years :)

So yes, had a really great time, was a bit of a shock coming home to this frigid weather though! hehe as my Ma says, "it's for the birds" :) we had weather about 33degrees for the last week, which was just lovely! New York was FREEEEEEZING though hehe, we even got some snow! I got plenty of photos i can share with you some time anyway.
